Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1795, with 19th and 20th-century extensions. The front elevation is ashlar, while the rear sections are red brick. It has a hipped tiled roof and two lateral red brick stacks, along with a moulded eaves cornice resting on a plinth. The two-storey, three-bay front features a central doorway with a 20th-century part-glazed door and fanlight. Single-panelled pilasters support fluted dosserets and an entablature on either side of the doorway. There are single glazing bar sashes on the ground floor, with two similar sashes above and a smaller central sash above those. Round tie plates flank the doorway. A 14th-century ashlar gargoyle, possibly depicting a man with bagpipes, is set under the eaves to the right; it sits next to the dated stone. A single-storey, single-bay extension in red brick and plain tiles is slightly set back to the left. Rear extensions are of 19th and 20th-century construction.
