Description
No. 58 Westhorpe is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. Notable architectural details include a 20th-century plinth, a first-floor band, cogged eaves, coped gables, and both a single gable and a single ridge stack.
The windows are primarily 19th-century 3-light casements, with ground floor openings that have segmental heads. The building is two storeys tall and has a three-window range. The east front displays three casements, with the central one featuring two lights. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a gabled 19th-century porch hood that covers a close boarded door, while to its right is a 20th-century glazed door. Additional single casements are located on either side of this entrance. To the right, there is a single-storey gabled wing that was rebuilt in the late 20th century. The south gable end, facing the street, has a single small casement. Inside, there is a winder stair.
