Description
The pigeoncote at Willingham House is a late 17th-century structure made of brick with a pantile roof. It features notched coped gables and a tilting board at the eaves. The building is two storeys high, with a single bay and a square plan. On the south side, there is a central plank door with timber jambs, and above it, a glazing bar casement window. The east gable has three tiers of pigeonholes with shelves and projecting iron rods with hooks, while the west gable has a single tier of pigeonholes. Inside, the pigeoncote retains original tie beams and flooring, along with wattle and daub nest boxes set within a timber frame. The roof was renewed, and restoration work was carried out in 1983.
