Description
Winkburn Hall Lodge is a mid-19th century lodge with a 20th-century extension. It is built of red brick with ashlar dressings and features ashlar quoins. The roof is covered in fishscale tiles, and there are single red brick stacks at the ridge and rear, along with shaped ashlar coped gables that have kneelers. The building has a red and blue brick chamfered ashlar plinth and an asymmetrical cross plan. It is a single storey with four bays. The main entrance is a Caernarvon arched doorway surrounded by a flush ashlar quoin. To the left of the entrance are three similarly arched casements, also with flush ashlar quoin surrounds. To the right, there is a projecting bay that contains four similar casements and surrounds, topped with a drip mould. Each side wall has one similar casement and surround, while the far right bay has no openings. At the apex of the projecting bay, there is an ashlar shield set into an ashlar panel. A single storey 20th-century extension is located at the rear.
