Description
Scarthingmoor Mill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1810. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped pantile roof. The building has a plinth, bands at the first floor and eaves, deep eaves, and two side wall stacks along with a single rear wall stack. It stands two storeys tall with three bays and a square plan. The northeast front showcases a pedimented central bay, which includes a central glazing bar casement with a fanlight, flanked by single Yorkshire sash windows. Above this, there are three additional Yorkshire sashes, all of which have rubbed brick heads. To the left, there is a 20th-century brick and timber porch. The west side of the house features two 20th-century metal casements on each floor. The rear addition has a catslide roof and a 20th-century lean-to porch made of brick and plastic. On the left side, there is a casement window with a segmental head and a door to the right. Above, there is a 20th-century gabled dormer with a casement window. Inside, the farmhouse includes four chamfered span beams, a fitted glazed cupboard, and winder stairs with square newels.
