Description

Chestnut Farm House is a late 18th-century farmhouse with alterations from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof, featuring two red brick gable stacks and raised, brick coped gables. The building has dentil eaves and an L-shaped plan. It extends two and a half storeys, with three bays, marked by first and second floor bands. A central doorway has a panelled door and overlight. To the left of the entrance is a single sash window, and to the right, a single 19th-century tripartite sash. Above these, a single central sash window is flanked by single glazing bar sashes. The top floor has three small glazing bar sashes. All windows have flush wedge brick lintels. A brick wall stands to the left of the property.
