Description

This tomb slab, dated 1651, is located at the east end of the Church of St. Swithin. It is made of ashlar and commemorates Alice Braylesford. The slab features incised arms with scrollwork, and a marginal inscription that reads, "Hic jacet Alice Uxor Guli Braylesford de Willey Gen... et haec... Lawr Stirrop de Lincolne M...D...C..."
