Description

Shortwood Lane Farmhouse is an early 19th-century brick farmhouse with a 20th-century pantile roof. It has dentillated eaves and three gable stacks. The main part of the house is two storeys high with garrets, and has three bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The south front features a central, latticed timber porch with a brick plinth and a leaded roof, a panelled door with an overlight, and flanking single sashes. To the right of the door is a small casement window. To the right of the main block is a later 19th-century service wing, two storeys high and single bay, with three smaller sashes above. The rear elevation includes a glazed door flanked by 19th- and 20th-century casements, a blocked opening, a small glazing bar sash, a casement with a segmental head, and three sashes of varying sizes.
