Description

No. 22 Main Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of brick that has been whitewashed, topped with a pantile roof. The building features cogged eaves and coped gables, with two gable stacks. It has two storeys and three bays, arranged in an L-plan. The windows are Yorkshire sashes, and the ground floor openings have segmental heads. The south front includes a central panelled door with a gabled timber porch, flanked by single sash windows. Above this, there are three sashes, with the central one being the smallest. At the rear, there are two 19th-century additions, featuring catslide and lean-to roofs.
