Description
135 Main Street is a late 18th-century house located in Calverton. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a pantile roof. It has two storeys and four bays, with a single gable and two ridge stacks that have cogged eaves. The windows are 19th-century casements, and the ground floor openings have segmental heads.
On the west front, to the left, there is a door with a brick hood, flanked by single casements. To the right of this door is another door with a single casement beside it, followed by a two-bay toilet block. Above these openings are four casements and a lead insurance plaque. The north gable features a sash window with a segmental head. At the rear, there are two small casements and, above them, a similar casement.
This building is designated for its substantial intactness as an example of 18th-century architecture.
