Description
The stables at Golder Close are an early 19th-century stable range constructed of brick, featuring hipped and gabled plain tile roofs and a single external gable stack. The building is two storeys high and two bays wide, arranged in an L-plan. Most openings have segmental heads. The west wing has two casements and a door on the south side, with an additional casement to the right and two casements above. The rear of this wing has two square hatches above. The south wing features a door on the west side, with two pairs of carriage doors to its right, one of which has been altered. To the right is a lower carriage house with a stable door and a pair of carriage doors, and above this section are seven cross breathers. The rear of the building has blocked openings and additional cross breathers. This structure is included in the register for its group value only.
