Description

St Martin's Cottages is a pair of cottages located in Nottingham, dating from the early 18th century and 19th century, and incorporating part of an earlier building. There are late 20th century additions. The cottages are constructed of red brick and coursed rubble, featuring gabled and hipped roofs made of plain tiles. They have two gable and two ridge brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, with a single storey plus attics, and consist of two and three bays.

The lower range on the left has a coursed rubble lower floor with two small 19th century windows and a single smaller window beyond. Above this, on the left, is a two-light glazing bar casement, and on the right, a Yorkshire sash window. The range on the right features two triangular headed casements from the 19th century in the center, flanked by a 20th century door on the left and a part-glazed panelled door on the right. Beyond this, there is a Yorkshire sash on the left and a late 20th century casement window on the right, both of which are segment-headed. Above, there are three hipped dormers, dating from the 19th century and late 20th century, each with two-light casements. The right return includes a late 20th century porch and a rear addition.
