Description

This is a row of three cottages located at 12 to 16 High Street, dating from the early 19th century and likely built for William Mellish. The cottages are constructed of red brick and feature a pantile roof with a right brick coped gable that has kneelers and two brick ridge stacks. They are two storeys high and consist of nine bays. Each cottage has a central doorway flanked by single casement windows with arched Gothic cast iron glazing bars, and there are two similar casements above each door. Number 12 has a panelled door, while numbers 14 and 16 have 20th-century wooden doors.
