Description
Dovecote Barn is an early 19th-century barn located on the north side of Main Street in Harworth. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof, with decorative dogtooth and raised brick bands at the eaves. The barn is two storeys high and consists of five bays.
The central section has a large carriageway that is topped by a segmental arch, which includes a keystone inscribed with "TW 181?". On the left side of the carriageway, there are two recessed panels, each containing a single diamond ventilation pattern. On the right side, there is one similar panel and a single blocked window opening further to the right. Above the left side, there are two more recessed panels with diamond ventilation patterns, a similar panel on the right, and further to the right, a 20th-century casement window.
