Description
The boat house in Serlby Park dates from the early 19th century. It features an ashlar base and rendered brick walls, topped with a hipped slate roof that extends over the eaves. The building is single storey on the land side but rises to two storeys on the lake side. The canted end has a central doorway with a wooden door and a pointed, arched overlight with traceried details. This doorway is flanked by two pointed, arched, traceried fixed lights. On the lake side, there is a large flat-headed opening, and above it is a doorway with a half-glazed door and a pointed, arched overlight that also has glazing bars. Notably, all the lights lack glazing.
