Description
Malt Kiln House is a mid-18th century building, originally two cottages. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has a pyramidal pantile roof with a single red brick ridge stack. The building is three storeys high and four bays wide, set on a plinth. The two central doorways have wooden doors and simple surrounds, flanked by single, small sash windows with glazing bars. Two similar sash windows are present on both the first and second floors. The second-floor windows have smaller panes and lack glazing bars. Two round tie plates are visible above the ground floor windows, with four above the first-floor windows. To the right of the main building is a lean-to addition of coursed rubble and pantile construction, featuring two doorways with wooden doors. Behind this is a single-storey, two-bay extension built of red brick and pantile.
