Description

The Barley Mow is a former public house dating from the late 18th century. It is a two-and-a-half-storey, three-bay building with a hipped roof covered in concrete pantiles, featuring a single red brick stack on the left gable. The main façade is rendered and painted, and sits on a plinth. The central doorway has a 20th-century door and moulded architrave, topped by a pediment supported by brackets. It is flanked by two sash windows, with two similar sashes above, and two smaller sashes on the top floor. To the right is a two-storey extension, also rendered and painted, and with a concrete pantile roof, a red brick ridge stack, and dentillated eaves. The extension has four casement windows on the ground floor, the leftmost being larger, and a single casement window on the first floor.
