Description

Cooksons Cottage is a 17th-century cottage constructed from coursed squared rubble and brick, mostly rendered, with a steeply pitched pantile roof. The building features dentillated eaves at the rear, two coped gables, and a single ridge stack. It is one and a half storeys tall and has three bays, positioned gable end facing the street. The main south front includes, on the left, a close boarded door set in plain jambs, flanked to the left by a two-light Yorkshire sash window. To the right, there is a 20th-century glazed door in a rendered reveal, accompanied by single Yorkshire sash windows, with the one on the right having a segmental head. Above, there are two additional Yorkshire sash windows. The east gable facing the street features a single Yorkshire sash window above.
