Description

This well head, located 7 meters east of number 13 on Church Street in Kirkby in Ashfield, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of ashlar stone and consists of a slab with a round hole, surrounded by a rectangular enclosure made of three slabs. The top of the well head is flat, and it features the remains of an iron crank with a wooden barrel. This structure is included in the listing for its group value only.
