Description

This garden urn, dating from the late 18th century, is likely the work of James Wyatt. It is made of Coade stone and stands on a square pedestal. The base features two steps and is designed as a classical altar, adorned with floral panels and ram's heads at the upper corners, which are connected by swags. The urn itself has a gadrooned lower section and a decorated upper section that includes a frieze of classical figures. The flaring rim is embellished with foliage and branches in bas relief on the underside.
