Description

Brigade House is a groom's house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof, with one ridge stack and one wall stack. The building has a single storey and a five-bay front. In the center, there is an open archway with a semicircular head, which has a rubbed brick arch with springing and key blocks. On either side of the archway, there are pairs of glazing bar sashes that have flat rubbed brick arches and raised key blocks. Notably, the window to the left of the door has had its upper sash replaced with plain glazing. The house is topped with a stone parapet and is listed for its group value only.
