Description

The stables at Kingerby Manor, built around 1812, feature some minor alterations from the 20th century. Constructed from yellow brick with red brick dressings, the building has a hipped roof made of slate and felt, topped with a timber and lead cupola. It is two stories tall and has a brick plinth. The structure consists of six bays, with the end bays projecting as wings, each featuring blind semi-circular headed arches. The left arch contains an original glazing bar sash, while the right has a wider three-light window that has been inserted. Above both arches are small glazing bar sashes.

The main facade includes three stable doors with three-panel overlights on the left, alongside a fixed glazing bar light and inserted 20th-century double doors on the right. Each return has a single stable door with an overlight. The first floor features four small glazing bar sashes, and all original openings are topped with flat red brick arches. Centrally located between the ground and first-floor windows is a stone-carved tablet displaying a crest of a lion holding a king's head. At the center of the ridge, there is a timber cupola with a clock on the main face and circular panels on the other sides, topped with a leaded dome and a fox weather vane.
