Description

This is a row of three cottages located adjacent to Rose Cottage in Hackthorn, dating from the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature pantile roofs with two gable stacks. They are single storey, although the left-hand cottage is taller and has a seven-bay front. The lower cottages have an off-centre planked door, flanked by single blocked openings, with two further blocked openings beyond, all featuring splayed stone segmental heads. One of these blocked openings was originally a door to the central cottage. The taller cottage has a planked door and a blocked window, both with timber lintels.
