Description
The barn and stable at Holywell Lodge Farm date from the early 18th century. They are built from coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and feature a concrete tiled roof with raised stone coped gables. The single-storey, single-bay barn has a central doorway, which now has a segmental brick head set in the blocking of the original broad opening. To the left of the barn, there is a single planked opening and three breathers. Adjacent to the barn is a lower two-storey stable and granary, which has a small fixed light with a segmental stone head and a doorway to the first floor, accessible by a flight of stone steps. The roof is a clasped purlin pegged softwood construction. This building is included for its group value only.
