Description
Fern House is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and a 20th-century addition. It is constructed from coursed and banded limestone rubble, with ashlar quoins. The roof is thatched and features red brick raised coped gables. There is a single ridge and two gable red brick stacks. The house is single storey with attics and has a four-bay front. The entrance is off-centre and is covered by a gabled 20th-century porch. To the left of the door is a single three-light casement window, and to the right are two three-light casement windows, all with timber lintels. The roof includes three two-light casement dormers with thatched eyebrows.
