Description
The building is a former pump house dating from the mid-19th century, which was restored in 1977. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and has a renewed pantile roof. The structure is a single cell featuring a round arched doorway that has a bracket keystone and a shell motif above it, along with a moulded plinth and imposts. The gable is shouldered and ogee-shaped, supported by kneelers, and features moulded coping and a ball finial. There are round arched unglazed openings on each side of the building. Inside, there is a brick bench with two round arched openings beneath it. This utility building was provided for workers on the Belton estate by the Brownlow family of Belton House.
