Description
The Old Rectory is a house that was originally built as a rectory in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features limestone ashlar. The roof is made of black pantiles and has two red brick ridge stacks, along with two lateral stacks at the rear. The building is two storeys high with a garret and has a three-bay front.
The central bay projects and includes a flat-headed porch that features a doorway with a bracketed hood, a reeded door case, a traceried fanlight, and a deep-set panelled door. On either side of the porch are single glazing bar sash windows, with three additional glazing bar sashes located above, all topped with rectangular stone lintels. The east front has two glazing bar sashes, with the left one being longer, and two more glazing bar sashes above, all also with rectangular stone lintels. In the garret, there is a two-light casement window.
