Description
No. 19 High Street is a shop dating from the late 18th century, located at the north corner of High Street and Finkin Street. The building features two gable dormers and an old shop window facing High Street, which has a central doorway flanked by windows with glazing bars. Above the shop window, there are four shaped brackets supporting a continuous hood. The upper part of the building was rebuilt in 1954, resulting in a modern brick structure with a slate roof. The original style sash windows with glazing bars have been retained. Nos. 17, 18, and 19 were rebuilt at the same time to create a continuous frontage. There are four windows per storey on High Street and two on Finkin Street. Notably, No. 17 has a large window on the first floor, topped by a large gable that contains a semi-circular window with glazing bars.
