Description

There are three table tombs located 6 yards from the south side of the Church of St. James in Deeping St. James. These tombs date from the mid-18th century and are made of ashlar stone. Each tomb is rectangular and features a moulded plinth that supports carved baluster pilasters at the corners, topped with flat surfaces. The sides of the tombs have rectangular raised and fielded inscription panels, with the northernmost tomb dedicated to Nicholas Measure, who died in 1755.
