Description

The cross shaft, dating from the 10th century, is located on the west side of the Church of St. Peter, 12 yards north-west of the tower. It is made of ashlar and features a tapering rectangular shape with a raised collar. The sides are adorned with tight single strand interlace, and above the collar, there is a fret design. Additionally, the panels display further interlace, with the west side appearing somewhat flaccid in character and possibly unfinished.
