Description

Ivy House is a late 18th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, with a concrete tiled roof and two 19th-century brick gable stacks. The two-storey, three-bay front features a half-glazed 19th-century door with an overlight, sheltered by a gabled hood with a decorative bargeboard and a knop on carved brackets. Single margin light sash windows with segmental brick heads flank the door. On the first floor, a central blank opening is surrounded by single margin light sash windows with flat timber lintels. This building demonstrates group value from being a well-preserved example of a farmhouse in the region.
