Description
Bank House is a former house, now serving as an Old People's Home, built around 1830 with minor alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of stucco and features a hipped Welsh slate roof, along with two wall stacks and two ridge stacks made of yellow brick. It has two storeys and a five-bay front, which includes a plinth, overhanging paired bracketed eaves, and pilasters. The central bay is slightly advanced and has its own gable.
The entrance features a wide central eight-panel door with a plain overlight, set within a projecting porch that has paired pilasters, dentillations, a cornice, and a parapet. Inside, there are half-glazed bordered light inner doors with a petaloid fanlight. The entrance is flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes, with the left outer window converted into a door. On the first floor, there are five glazing bar sashes. To the right, there is a lower single bay with a door and overlight, above which is another glazing bar sash.
