Description
Two cottages, now combined into a single dwelling, were built in 1793, with later 20th-century alterations. The cottages are likely timber-framed, with the original frame encased in rendered brick. They have a thatched roof and two 20th-century brick gable stacks. The building is single-storied with an attic, and has a four-bay front. There are two plain plank doors at the front. The right-hand side has a single sliding sash window with three panes of glass, while the left-hand side has a single casement window, also with three panes. All openings are topped with segmental arches. Three eyebrow dormer windows are present in the roof, each with a single casement window containing three panes of glass. A lozenge-shaped ashlar plaque above the doorway of No. 45 is inscribed with the date 1793 and illegible initials.
