Description
No. 14 and Bryan's Shoe Repair Shop is a shop with living accommodation above and a house, which also provides access to outbuildings at the rear, possibly a former tannery. It dates from around 1820, with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of red brick and has a concrete tiled roof with a 20th-century tile-coped left gable, featuring single ridge and gable stacks. It stands two storeys high and has five bays.
To the left, there is a carriage archway that leads to the outbuildings, which has a basket arch and a double plank door. On the right, there is a doorway with a semi-circular head, a blind traceried fanlight, and a panelled reveal and door. Next to it is a glazing bar casement window, followed by another similar doorway that includes a glazed, traceried fanlight. To the right of this, there is another glazing bar casement window, with three similar windows located above. All the windows feature flush wedge lintels.
