Description

Nos 1 to 7 Abbey Buildings are a row of cottages built from the remains of part of the Priory of Cll, dating from the late 14th century or early 15th century. They are constructed from red brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. The building is long and divided on the south side into seven bays by stone buttresses, which make up the back elevation of the cottages. The north side has one stone mullioned rectangular window for each cottage, with additional modern mullioned windows added. The gable end has been repaired, and there are arched dripmoulds over plain doors, along with rusticated quoins. Nos 1 to 7 form a group.
