Description

The Police Station, built in 1857, is a two-storey brick building featuring ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins. It has a hipped Welsh slate roof with central stacks. The first floor has two windows with flat painted lintels, and the ground floor has three hung sash windows with glazing bars. The side elevation includes four windows in the center and two at the projecting ends. There are two doors with flat hoods supported by brackets. A modern one-storey brick section connects the Police Station to the Sessions House. The Police Station and Sessions House are part of a group that includes Nos 32 and 33 The Crescent, which are buildings of local interest.
