Description
Myrtle Cottage and Co-operative Cottages are three cottages, one of which was formerly a shop, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble, with some areas rendered and featuring ashlar dressings. The cottages have a slate roof with a single gable and two brick stacks at the ridge. The building is two stories high.
Starting from the left, there is a single glazing bar sash window, followed by a doorway with a 20th-century door and an overlight. Next is a four-panel door flanked by three-light shop windows, which are supported by pilasters and topped with a simple entablature. Beyond this, there is another glazing bar sash window, a plank door with an overlight, another glazing bar sash, and finally a 20th-century plank door with a narrow overlight. Above these openings, there are five irregularly spaced glazing bar sash windows. All the openings feature flush ashlar surrounds.
