Description

The Elms is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on the west side of High Street in Eagle and Swinethorpe. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile ridge roof with brick coped gables and kneelers. The building has a decorated eaves cornice and a brick band at the first floor level. It is double fronted, consisting of three bays and two storeys. The central doorway is segment-headed and has a 20th-century door. Below the doorway, there are two glazing bar sash windows, and above, there are three more, all set under segmental brick arches.
