Description

BASSINGHAM WATER LANE SK 96 SW 2/9 Manor House - GV II House. Late C17 and mid C18. Coursed rubble and brick with ashlar dressings. Pantile partially hipped roof. Single gable and ridge brick stacks. Brick coped gables with kneelers, and dentilated eaves. Ashlar quoins to south-west corner. 2 storey. South front, 3 bays with central doorway with plank door, flanked by single 2 light sliding sashes. Above an ashlar first floor band, then a central small fixed light with a blocked opening to the left and a single 2 light sliding sash to the right all under segment heads. West front also 3 bay, has identical fenestration, except without the blocked opening, and with part of the lower walling in coursed rubble and a brick first floor band.
