Description

Park Lodges are a pair of former entrance lodges, dating from the mid-19th century with 20th-century alterations. They were originally associated with Canwick Hall. The lodges are constructed of white brick with ashlar dressings, and have hipped roofs covered with Welsh slate. They feature three moulded brick stacks. The building has two storeys, and the south front has six bays, with the outer bays projecting slightly. The left-hand central bay has a 20th-century glazed door and conservatory; the right-hand bay has a margin-light sash window with a segmental head and ashlar keystone. Projecting porches are positioned on either side of the centre, with plank doors and ornate iron hinges, each featuring a segmental head with an ashlar keystone. Single margin-light sash windows with segmental heads and ashlar keystones flank the porches. Above, two central pairs of margin-light sashes are flanked by single similar sashes, which are, in turn, flanked by pairs of similar sashes. To the left of the main block is a single bay, matching addition from the 20th century, built in a similar style.
