Description

The Cot is a cottage that was originally two cottages, built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile ridge roof, with a single brick coped gable that has kneelers and two gable stacks. The building has four bays and is two storeys high, with the northern two bays being taller than the southern two. There are two doorways, both featuring 19th-century board doors; the northern doorway has a segmental brick arch. On the northern side, there is a sliding casement window, while the southern side has a 20th-century metal window. Above the northern side, there are two sliding casement windows, and a single casement window is located in the eaves on the southern side. The eaves are decorated with a cornice.
