Description
Elm House is a house built around 1857, constructed of brick with stone dressings and featuring a hipped slate roof, along with two side wall stacks and one roof stack. The building is two storeys high and has a square plan with two bays. The south front showcases a central round-headed doorway that includes a keystone and imposts, leading to a half-glazed door and fanlight. To the left, there is a late 19th-century canted wooden bay window with a flat roof and margin light sashes. To the right, there is a glazing bar sash, followed by a single-storey addition with a smaller sash window. On the upper level, there are three plain sashes, with the central one being smaller. The west side, facing Mill Road, features two glazing bar sashes, with two plain sashes above. The interior has not been inspected. Elm House is part of the architectural scheme of the adjoining terrace at Nos 2-42 (even) Mill Road.
