Description

The building at 81 and 83 Eastgate dates to the 18th century, with later additions. It is three storeys high and rendered to resemble stone. The roof is tiled with pantiles. The facade has four windows, although two on the top floor are blocked, with marginal glazing. There are two shop fronts, one from the late 19th century and one modern, both of a plain design, and tiled stall risers are present. The building forms a group with numbers 57 to 75 (odd), 79 to 103 (odd), and number 2 Vickers Lane.
