Description
Addlethorpe House is a house built in the late 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a concrete tiled roof with reduced tumbled gables and a single square panelled ridge stack with a moulded top. The building is L-shaped, two storeys plus a garret, and has a three-bay front that includes a plinth, a moulded first floor band, double corbelled eaves cornice, and gable bands.
The central feature is a two-storey early 19th century pedimented brick porch with facetted angles, which contains a panelled door flanked by single tall 20th century glazing bar casements. On the first floor, there are three similar shorter windows. All windows are topped with painted flat brick arched heads. Inside, one room features full height panelling.
