Description
Park House is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Eastgate. It is two storeys high, constructed of gault brick, and features a hipped roof covered with greenish tiles. The façade includes three upper windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars, set beneath carved stucco flat lintels that have keystones. A band runs along the cills of these windows. On the ground floor, there are two windows framed in segmental architraves, consisting of three lights, with two narrow hung sashes that also have glazing bars and consoles at the tops of the mullions. The building has a central porch supported by Doric columns, with an entablature that is partly obscured by a modern sign. A rectangular fanlight is situated above a panelled door, while the upper windows are fitted with modern shutters. Park House, along with Nos 193 to 209 (odd), forms a group.
