Description

The brick kiln beside Brickyard Cottages is an early 19th-century Scotch type kiln, currently used as a store. It is constructed of red brick and has a rectangular plan featuring eight arched flue holes along one side. The left end of the kiln includes a planked door and a fixed light window, while the opposite end is supported by two sloping brick buttresses. The roof is a pointed brick arched vault, which has five rectangular vents at the top.
