Description
Stanton House is a cottage built in the mid-18th century to early 19th century. It features red brick construction and pantile roofs. The building has a taller eastern bay from the 19th century, which has a hipped roof to the right, a small gable stack to the left, and a projecting gable stack to the right. There is a single axial ridge stack. The cottage is one storey with an attic, plus a two-storey bay to the right. The front has five bays and a lobby entrance. The doorway has a partially glazed door and is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. To the left of the entrance is another doorway with a plank door, and to the right is a doorway with a plank door as well. Above these is a casement window. All openings have segmental heads. There are two raking dormers to the left, each with two-light casements.
