Description

Thornick is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a stucco finish, topped with a pantile roof featuring raised brick coped gables and two gable stacks. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay front. Notable architectural features include a first-floor band, moulded eaves, and a central six-panel door with panelled reveals. The door is framed by an eared wooden doorcase that includes egg and dart beading and rosettes at the corners, along with a dentillated cornice and a narrow leaded hood. On either side of the door are single glazing bar sash windows, while the first floor has three similar windows, all of which have segmental heads.
