Description

The Manor House is a late 18th-century, two-story house constructed primarily of brick, with a shallow-pitched roof covered in grey slate. It features a dentilled eaves cornice and brick stacks at the gable ends. There is potential for earlier cellars beneath the structure. The facade is arranged with five windows, in a two-one-two pattern, with a shallow central projection. The windows are hung sashes set within plain wooden frames, each having a flat arched head with a fluted keystone and stucco detailing. A central entrance is defined by a semi-circular doorway framed by a simple pedimented doorcase, including a triangular pediment over a fanlight. The reveals and soffit are panelled, and the door itself is panelled with glazed sections. Contemporary rainwater heads and a lead pipe are located on both sides of the central projection. The Manor House is part of a group with associated outbuildings.
