Description

Blossom Hall is a house built in 1617, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century and minor changes in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features Welsh slate roofs, brick coped gables, and moulded kneelers. The large square brick ridge stack has four moulded octagonal twisted brick shafts. The original early 17th-century range has been extended by a lower 19th-century hipped roof block added to the north front, as well as a pent roofed range to the south.

The house is two storeys with a garret. The 17th-century range has a plinth and a chamfered second floor offset to the gable end, which has two ground floor openings covered by a later conservatory. On the first floor, there is a pair of margin light sash windows with segmental heads. In the garret, there is another margin light sash in a chamfered surround with a brick pediment and a small roundel above. The south front features roll moulded and dentillated eaves, and a small chamfered plinth is visible on the two exposed bays. The doorway has a brick pediment, and above it is a later window in a chamfered surround, also pedimented. To the right, there are 20th-century windows on each floor.

Inside, the dining room includes a chamfered ceiling girder with ogee stops and chamfered joists, which have triangular stops only on the ceiling girder. There is also a fireplace with a chamfered bressumer and ogee stops.
